The Hobbs family was the first to greet us when we moved to Georgia 41 years ago. Marvin and Emily were always there to help whenever needed. Marvin always had a smile on his face. He was a good man and friend. I have moved away now, but wish I was there to help and comfort the family. Marvin will be greatly missed. I love you all.

Dear Hobbs Family, My heart was deeply saddened to hear that Cousin Marvin had passed-away. My Mother Geraldine Hobbs Lewis never forgot her Ashburn roots and brought us to visit as often as she could over the years. Her last visit with Cousin Marvin at our home before she passed was a treasured memory until God called her home. I have such fond memories of visiting Ashburn . . . fishing in the pond, picking vegetables, visiting the cemeteries where my grandparents are buried to lay flowers and spending the night with Aunt Fan and listening to the sound of the trains. May God wrap His loving arms around you all, and may you take comfort in knowing that his spirit lives on in the many lives that he touched in his special way. Again, we are so very sorry for your loss and please know we'll be praying for you. “Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known. And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.” 1 Corinthians 13:12-13 Love, The Family of Geraldine Hobbs Lewis Victor and Nancy (Lewis) Melton David Lewis

Emily and Family, I was sorry to hear of the passing of Your love one! Nothing prepares us for the coming of this time in our lives. We read in Ecclesiastes 7:1,2, A good name is better than previous ointment ; and the day of death than the day of birth ...this being that a saved person goes to be with the Lord at ones death. Marvin was a fine Christian gentlemen, a great family man, and a great neighbor and friend. I can still see that smile on his face and here his laugh because that was his personality. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

I was saddened for all of you, when I read online tonight of the passing of Marvin. He was such an amazing and sweet man to all that had the pleasure to call him friend. Sorry that I didn't know sooner. Bobby and I are back in our home and rarely get out, especially with the covid. April comes during the week to check on us. I know it's very painful when you loose a loved one. Know that we will be remembering yall in prayer asking God to give you peace and understanding as you prepare to see your Dad again. God loves each of you! Sincerely , Luvena & Bobby
