Sharon and I were close childhood friends and attended church together at First Methodist in Tifton. I have so many happy memories of her. In sixth grade we were both big readers and started competing with each other to see who could finish large, "grown up" books (as opposed to teen novels) first. We attended pool parties together and played at each others' houses. My deepest sympathies to your family and all who loved her. I enjoyed being connected with her on social media as adults and seeing her gorgeous children. May God hold your hands in the coming days.

My heart was broken to hear this news this morning. Sharon and I were friends and classmates. Even though I have lived so far away for a long time now, I enjoyed being able to keep up with Sharon through social media. I have not seen my niece in many years but have been able to keep up with her thru my brother, her dad, Sam. My heart is heavy for him and sister Belinda and brother Theron as well as Sharon's children and grandchild. I cannot imagine their grief at this tragic loss and pray for them in this time of sorrow.

My sincere condolences to the family. Sharon and I were childhood friends and softball teammates. Her father coached our recreational softball team when we were just little girls learning how to play. I remember Sharon’s smile and laughter. She was so full of life it!
