Obituary

Frank W. Gadomski, Jr., 77, of Acushnet, passed away at Brigham and Woman's Hospital on Monday, March 22, 2021, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was the beloved husband of Marion G. (Spooner) Gadomski.

A longtime resident of Acushnet, Frank was born in New Bedford, son of the late Frank W. Gadomski, Sr. and the late Czeslava (Taradejna) Gadomski. He was a supervisor for Brittany Dyeing and Printing Corporation in New Bedford for many years. After retirement, he worked part-time for Market Basket in New Bedford.

Frank was a giver, not a taker. He was happiest when helping others, when surrounded by loving family and friends, and when spending time with the love of his life, the beautiful Marion. Frank was a man of simple wants. His joys included keeping an exceptionally tidy home, using tons of Armor All on his already pristine cars, maintaining a golf course lawn, and sipping an endless glass of Diet Coke. If you have ever held his hand, heard him laugh, or sought his counsel, you have felt his profound capacity to love unconditionally.

Frank was the proud father of the late Michael J. Gadomski. Frank's survivors, along with his wife, include his son: Daniel DeTerra and wife Catherine of Dartmouth; 4 daughters: Debra Dumont and husband Michael of Freetown, Sharon St. Pierre and husband Rene of Fairhaven, Michelle Vaughan and husband James of Fairhaven, and Janet Goulet and husband Randy of Somerset; 2 sisters: Barbara Machado and Irene Nogueira, both of New Bedford; 13 grandchildren: Lee DeTerra, Keaton DeTerra, Justin Dumont, Shane Dumont, Michael Gadomski, Jonathan Gadomski, Matthew Gadomski, Nicole St. Pierre, Dylan St. Pierre, Joshua Vaughan, Tabitha Vaughan, Ryan Goulet, and Nathan Goulet; 14 great-grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews.

Memorial service to which relatives and friends are invited will be Saturday, April 17, 2021 at Acushnet-Wesley Methodist Church at 1:00 P.M.

Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Acushnet-Wesley Methodist Church, 67 Main St., Acushnet, MA 02743.
