New Bedford – Susan E. (Collins) McKay, 90, of Acushnet passed away August 17, 2013 at New Bedford Health Care Center. She was the widow of Louis W. McKay, Sr.
Mrs. McKay was born in Dartmouth, daughter of the late William C. and Florence A. (Demoranville) Collins, and resided in Acushnet most of her life. She was a member of the First Congregational Church of Rochester. She was a member of the Rochester Congregational Ladies Guild. She enjoyed duckpin bowling and arts & crafts.
Survivors include 3 daughters: Linda S. Wales of Acushnet, Karen E. Hooley of Rochester and Diane R. Poulin of Rochester; 3 sons: Louis W. McKay, Jr. of Brooksville, FL, Donald G. McKay of Fairhaven and Barry T. McKay of Acushnet; 13 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 1 great great-granddaughter; and several nieces & nephews.
She was mother of the late Russell D. McKay, grandmother of the late Sharon Vaughan and sister of the late Verna Holstius and Avis McConville.
