AnnMarie (O'Neil) Walker, 82, of Westport, passed away on Sunday, May 2, 2021 at home. She was wife of the late Robert R. Walker.
Born in Fall River, daughter of the late William F. and Margaret (Clark) O'Neil, she had lived in Fall River for most of her life. She had also lived in Cleveland, OH and Little Compton, RI. Prior to retirement, she had worked at Filene's in Taunton and Braintree and also at Burlington Coat Factory. Mrs. Walker was a president of the Tecumseh Mills Tenants Association, past president of the Irish Heritage Association, past president of the Emblem Club of Bristol, RI and past president of the Letter Carriers Association of Fall River. She enjoyed sewing, knitting and crocheting for her grandchildren and she also ran many trips to Ireland.
Survivors include 3 sons: William J. Cowan of Bourne, MA, Kevin J. Cowan of Ithaca, NY and Michael P. Cowan of Avon, MA; 2 daughters: Kathleen M. Lavelle of Bourne , MA and Christina M. Parker of Center Barnstead, NH; 3 brothers: William F. O'Neil of Fall River, Richard C. O'Neil of Swansea and John D. O'Neil of Bourne; a sister: Elaine Holland of Fall River; 9 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was sister of the late Robert O'Neil and Dennis O'Neil.
Mass of Christian Burial to which relatives and friends are invited will be Friday, May, 7, 2021 at St. John the Baptist Church, Westport at 10:30 A.M.
Calling hours Thursday from 5-8 P.M.
Interment in St. Patricks Cemetery, Fall River.
