Gladys K. (Cooper) Perkins, 86, of Somerset, went to be with the Lord, on Sunday, March 28, 2021. She was wife of the late Donald R. Perkins.
Born in Pembrook, Bermuda, she was daughter of the late Cleland and Mary (Ferreira) Cooper. Prior to retirement, she was a banker for the former Fall River Trust Company. She was a member of the Third Baptist Church, Fall River.
Survivors include a daughter: Susan E. Jung, and her husband, Robert, of Mansfield; a brother: Cleland E. Cooper, Jr. of Texas; a grandson: Timothy Jung; several nieces and nephews; and her dear friends: Debbie Silvia and Debbie Veloza.
She was sister of the late Albert J. Cooper, Doris Warner, Betty Loy, and Mildred French.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the staff of Clifton Rehabilitative Nursing Center in Somerset, for their excellent care of Gladys for the past 25 years. Once bound at home in her wheelchair, with multiple sclerosis, Clifton provided wonderful opportunities for her to continue her interests in music, painting, personalized jewelry making, and in conducting weekly bible classes.
The graveside service, to which relatives and friends are invited, will be Thursday, April 1, 2021 at Beech Grove Cemetery, 946 Main Road, Westport, MA at 11:00 A.M.
