Elsie (Machado) Monteiro, 92, of Fall River, passed away on Saturday, July 6, 2019 at St. Anne's Hospital. She was the wife of the late Manuel Monteiro.
Mrs. Monteiro was born in Newport, daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Souza) Machado and had resided on Westport before to moving to Fall River. Prior to her retirement, she worked as a housekeeper and had also been a supervisor at the Capri Motel. She was a communicant of St. George Church, Westport and enjoyed going on car rides.
Survivors include her 2 brothers: Edward Machado of Westport and Richard Machado of FL; her sister: Delores Michael of Fall River; along with many nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Francis Machado, Thomas Machado, Joseph Machado and George Machado.
