Ellen M. (Keene) Ruest Rego, 78, of Westport, peacefully passed away at home on Sunday, December 16, 2018 with her loving family by her side. She was the wife of the late Alfred Rego and the late Samuel P. Ruest.
Mrs. Rego was born in Fall River, daughter of the late Albert F. and Dolores (St. Pierre) Keene and had been a longtime resident of Westport. Prior to her retirement, she worked as a housekeeper for various area nursing homes and she also volunteered at the Westport Council on Aging. She was an avid Bingo player and enjoyed spending time with her family.
Survivors include her son: Kevin A. Freitas of Westport; her brother: Bertrand Keene and his wife Patricia of Somerset; 3 grandchildren: Kevin Freitas, II, Brett Freitas and Melanie Freitas; along with several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her siblings Dolores Chasse, Albert Keene and her twin sister, Alice Paradise.
Memorial Mass to which relatives and friends are invited will be Sunday, January 20, 2019 at Our Lady of Grace Church, Westport at 8:30 A.M.
Interment will be private.
