Ermelinda M. (Paiva) Chaves, 84, of Westport passed away at home on Wednesday, November 28, 2018. She was the wife of the late Jose C. Chaves. Mrs. Chaves was born in Santa Barbara, Vilo Do Porto, Portugal, daughter of the late Antonio DeRezendes Paiva and the late Maria (DeMorais) Paiva.
Survivors include her 2 daughters: Aida M. Andrade and her husband Jose of Winnipeg, Canada and Nelia F. Padinha and her husband Americo of Westport.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Monday, December 3, 2018 from the Potter Funeral Home at 8:30 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Baptist Church, Westport at 9:30 A.M.
Calling hours will be Sunday from 2-4 P.M.
Interment will be in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
