Laura D. (Peixinho) Martin, 94, of Westport, passed away on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at Adams House. She was the wife of the late Joseph H. Martin.
Mrs. Martin was born in Fall River, daughter of the late Antone and Mary (Dias) Peixinho and had resided in Westport since 1947. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Grace Church, Westport.
Survivors include her son: Paul A. Martin of Westport; her daughter: Maureen Levesque of Alaska, a brother: Antone Peixinho of Tiverton; 3 sisters: Hilda St. Ives of Berkley, Elsie Herman of Westport and Alice Sylvia of Tiverton; 4 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Edward Peixinho, Mary Travassos and Florence Peixinho.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Friday, September 8, 2017 from the Potter Funeral Home at 10:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Grace Church, Westport at 11:30 A.M.
Calling hours Thursday from 4-7 P.M.
Interment will be in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
