I remember going to their house to call on Janet on Saturday and Mrs. Melchin would be baking a dozen loafs of bread (maybe more) for the family for the coming week. She was totally organized! My parents attended their famous St. Patrick Day party and tell funny stories for weeks after. They were fun-loving and kind. I was so happy to see Mrs. Melchin at my mom's wake in 2010. She was a stunning woman and even wore a beautiful pair of gloves to the wake!
