I am very sorry to hear of Carl's passing. I knew Carl for many years beginning as youngsters at the Beach Grounds. In the last few years we ran into each other at ballet recitals of the grand-daughters. He was a super nice guy. So sorry.

I SERVICED WITH CARL ON THE USS HAWKINGS. I HAD BEEN TRYING TO GET IN CONTACT WITH CARL WHEN I RAN ACROSS THIS OBIT. I AND SEVERAL OF HIS SHIPMATES ARE TRULEY SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS. CARL WAS A GOOD MAN. NORM O'NEAL
