Dear Evie: John was a good man and good friend. When I saw him, he always made time to talk to me. He always had a good joke to share or a good piece of news about someone we both knew. I shared the bad news with some others who like me were classmates of John's in 1969. They said, "John was truly nice guy," "one of the nicest people I have ever known, and "Losing another of us reminds me of the importance of old friends." All true. I know you will hear from some of them soon. My thoughts are with you and all of John's family. - Bob Judge

We were all very shocked to hear the passing of John. Notre Dame Memorial was our very best customer and working with John was a pleasure. He was a true professional business man. Evie, I am so sorry for your loss. I went to high school with John and we had a few classes together. I remember him as being quiet, kind and thoughtful, a genuinely nice person. He was the type of person who left a lasting impression on anyone who met him. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family at this difficult time.
