CONDOLENCES (GuestBook)

Debbie, Dennis and Donald: I am holding all of you in my heart during this very tender time. Your mom is deeply woven into the very fabric of my childhood. It is impossible for me to turn back without catching a glimpse of her liveliness. My heart is full of sweet gratitude, recounting the many suppers and sleepovers she extended my way, and the many times she endured Debbie and I redecorating the basement. I remember her love of country music, and her singing along to all her favorites. And whenever anyone asks me that infamous question "where I was when JFK was shot", I say, I was at the Banville's: I remember vividly the scene of being in the basement with your mom ironing, listening to the radio and her gasping with disbelief and then breaking out in sobs to the news that JFK was shot. Your mom kindly told me that I should go home to my mom so she could explain what happened. Your mom will be remembered in love and with much sweetness. -In love and peace ...Anne-Marie Benjamin (Belisle)
