It is with the saddest of hearts that I write this. I met Eddie in 6th grade. We shared most, if not all of our classes together that year. I believe it was also the year the Sox broke the curse. Relevant only because, by coincidence, we had taken the same bus trip to Fenway. I think Bellhorn hit a walk-off double (believe it or not). This was confirmed by his older brother John, who I became great friends with later. When I think of Ed, I think of the great love that he had inside of him. Though we never became that close, I do feel that we shared a strong bond. We understood each other. I'm sure many others feel the same. To his family, my love and prayers are with you. To Ed, I love you man. I hope to see you again.
