CONDOLENCES (GuestBook)

I remember the day Mary came to work at Westvaco and from that day on we became friends. She was warm, caring, loved to laugh and would do anything for anyone. I enjoyed my many visits to her home with her son Ricky, her husband Rich and her brother Joe. The highlight of our friendship came when she asked me to be godmother to her daughter Lori. I shall always feel a special kinship to the entire family and I am so very sorry for their loss. R.I.P. Mary

When I walked into Mary’s house for the first time as her new PT we discussed her goals. Coming from a hospital stay and then rehab, she had not walked in almost 2 months and her daughter Lori was transferring her using a Hoyer lift. She told me she was determined to walk again. Through hard work and determination and the help of family she did just that. She also progressed to being able to get in and out of the car to go for rides. I enjoyed our conversations each time I came and she was always so gracious and appreciative. I came to learn she loved cows and while my daughter was working on a cow farm in college I always sent her pictures. I became friends with both Mary and the family and wish to say she was a lovely lady who will be missed.
