CONDOLENCES (GuestBook)

We always enjoyed talking with your Dad. I'm sure he taught some of my siblings (Burnetts) and maybe some of our children, too. He was always friendly and smiling. May he rest in peace and may perpetual light shine upon him.

I was sorry to hear of Mr. Trainers passing. He was a fine man and a great teacher. I was fortunate to be in his class all three years at PHS. One of the projects we worked on was building a new large manger for the nativity at Sacred Heart Church. I believe that it is still being used to this day. He also guided me through some difficult projects for pieces that are still in use by me and several family members. I have thought of him many times over the years. On visits back to Prosser after we moved, I would often see him at church. He always had a warm greeting and seemed happy to see me. My thoughts are with the family. Steve Blakney....1973

I am sorry to hear of Mike's passing. I regret that our lives became so messed up. I know he is at peace now. I appreciate that you mentioned Linda/Jonni in his obituary. Take care of each other, Shirley (Linda's sister)

Uncle Bernie, as we called him, taught me respect. When he would come to our house, I was probably maybe 8 to 10 years old at the time, Uncle would butt out his cigar and lay it on the window sill outside the door. I learned respect for other people's houses from his example. He was also a wonderful example of what a good husband should be. He really took good care of Aunt Judy. Mike Trainer fulfilled the duties of a father for my mother. He worked and went to school at the same time after losing his father. Uncle Bernie's sense of humor will always remain in my mind and heart. On a fairly recent visit to see him, he still shined. We all owe him a great thanks. He served In Korea. I never got a chance to talk to him much but I hope he was not cold there. Rest in Peace Uncle Bernie you know how well the girls took care of you. They will take care of Aunt Judy. Steven

Mr. Trainer is a wonderful example of a giving and caring teacher. I to had the privilege of participating in his class where he taught “common sense” safety while using the shop machinery. His positive attitude and enthusiasm helping students expand their creativity will always be remembered. I remember that when I asked him a question he would quickly crinkle his nose and squint his eyes before replying with his answer. Mr. Trainer was a wonderful person and genuinely cared for anyone that had the pleasure of meeting him. Even after graduating 35 yrs ago I still hear his voice before using the table saw “safety first and use a push stick if you want to keep your fingers”. Great man for sure.
