My Dad was one of a kind! His sense of humor and quick wit was known and loved by all. His smile and laugh were contagious! He loved the outdoors and made it his personal playground. He made sure to take my brother and I on many adventures when we were growing up. He had nicknames for just about everyone and made all who knew him feel like they were his favorite. In September, I saw him for what would be the last time, his last words (he could barely talk) was to whisper one of his nicknames for me in my ear. In his final state, he still wanted to make people laugh! My daughters decided to call him "Grandpa Silly" years ago and what a perfect name that is for him. A few years back Dad and my husband built a snow jump at his Cashmere property and right before going over the jump, Dad turned around on his ATV and gave me a wild grin...I knew what was about to happen. He gunned it and I went flying! I broke my wrist but it was all worth it...the memory of being in my mid 30's and my Dad still having fun with me like I was a kid will stay with me always! We will hold our memories of our times with him near and dear in our hearts...he loved my 3 girls and his spirit lives on in them. His oldest granddaughter takes after him on the track field and his younger two granddaughters have his hilarious personality and ability to make friends with anyone...he lives on in us and in my brother and nephews. Have fun in Heaven Dad, I can just picture you throwing around a football there and racing around on those lightning fast legs of yours. You never liked me to say goodbye and you wouldn't either. So, see you again Dad. I love you. Cindy
