To Seth and family please accept my deepest condolences. I was very fortunate to have Dr Roman in 3 semesters of Organic Chemistry at Regis College. She was a wonderful, tough, yet a very kind teacher who pushed me to excel. I owe a lot of where I am today to her. Regis College Class of 1999

Dear Seth and Family, Dr. Roman was my department head in chemistry. When I was at Regis, I often had to work mid-shift until 11 pm, then do homework. Needless to say, I often fell asleep in the first row in my 8 am chemistry classes! She never called me out or embarassed me in any way. Somehow it all seeped in and I made it to graduation with a whopping 4 other Chemistry majors in 1990. She was a great teacher and I loved her sense of humor. Attleboro, MA,

From the moment we met at Regis College and connected around our shared Newton upbringing (“The Lake”, Our Lady’s Parish, and Cabot Park) and the importance of family, faith, sports, and science, we had conversations that transcended the classroom. In the classroom, however, Dr. Roman. was firm, blunt, and animated as she passionately pleaded with her students to master the subject matter. Dr. Roman’s contagious smile and deep laugh were forgiving. She was the “real deal”- brilliant, strong, loyal, true, and compassionate. To her family (Seth, your Mom spoke of you with great pride and much love), and friends, thank you for sharing Dr. Roman with us her Regis students. She made an indelible mark on me and I will forever be grateful to her for not giving up on me when I struggled in her classes.

My condolences to the family and friends of Dr. Roman. I was fortunate to be one of her students at Regis College. She was one of the reasons I wanted to become an organic chemistry professor and to teach at a small college.

To Dr. Roman, A strong, remarkable professor, and one of my mentors during my time at Regis. I’ll never forget sitting in your Organic Chemistry class, then having the honor of being a Teaching Assistant, then Senior Teaching Assistant for the Organic Chemistry lab, under your guidance. I couldn’t imagine the Regis College Chemistry dep’t without you; I only wish I could have found and reached out to you before you left us. May your spirit live on in all of us whom you influenced throughout the years. I will never forget you. Love, Gina

Dr. Roman was a wonderful chemistry professor of mine while at Regis College '95. She was always interested in helping all of her students get the most out of their studies. She had a huge heart and was a wonderful role model for women. It's a huge loss to the Regis community and her family and friends. May Dr. Roman rest in peace. With fond memories and sincere condolences to Dr. Roman, her family and friends, Christine
