To all of Doris’ family, loved ones left behind- I am so sorry to hear of her passing. She was the sweetest woman to live next door to. Always graciously sharing her love with us. She was such an amazing support during my grandmother’s illness and she was a breath of fresh air in our neighborhood. She will be missed greatly. May she rest in the peace of God now. To all the family members of Doris my deepest condolences. She was an amazing person and neighbor to us all who lived on Messinger Street . I have such wonderful memories of her , be it either seeing her walking her cart back from Shaw’s supermarket with her groceries or sitting in her porch and talking about what was going on in our lives . May you all find comfort that she was such a treasure to everyone she touched in her life . God Bless her and all of you . Robert and Mary Lynch .

I am so sad to hear of this news. I delivered mail to the Messinger street area for over 25 years and Doris was my favorite. She was truly an amazing woman. To see her face on a rainy day would instantly turn that day sunny. I feel blessed to have known her and know that she will live on in the hearts of all of us that had the chance to know and love her.
