CONDOLENCES (GuestBook)

Broken-hearted more than I have words to describe. Mike led a life of honor, integrity, and love in a way that many people aspire to, but very, very few achieve. Mike was passionate about everything he did, and loved to share that passion with everyone he met. I will forever cherish our climbing boondoggles, woodworking club, innovating in the lab, taking the kids to football games and watching them play soccer, standing around a campfire wolfing down entire loaves of bread, laughing about both being named Mike and having crazy brothers named Chris, laughing at each other’s ridiculous life stories, and so on and so on. Mike really went through life helping everyone he met be better in some way. I am blessed to have known him.

So sorry to hear this. I had some great times with Mike working, surfing and hunting back in our San Diego days. Great guy, always upbeat, smart and funny. Rest In Peace big guy

Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. And you know the way to where I am going.” – John 14:1-4 A fellow Lumberjock

Mike became my dear friend in college. The two of us had the chance to study in Oxford, England the same year and their our friendship solidified. I had the privilege of coming to know Mike’s family and how much they adored him. I also had the privilege of briefly meeting his wife and kept in touch over the years such that I learned of his becoming father of three beautiful girls whom he adored. Most special was the brief texting and phone call interactions near the time of his death. Mike never wavered in his love for God and his trust in God’s providence. I have teared up for the last couple of weeks every time I think of my dear friend gone from this life. I have no doubt that he is enjoying eternal joy of being in the presence of his beloved Father. Nevertheless, he is already dearly missed. May he continue to watch over all of us in particular his family and may they know in this next chapter with great certitude that their father truly lived a life of holiness and awaits them in eternity. Sending my prayers and condolences, Catherine Neumayr USF Class of 1989
