To the Gibson family, I am so sorry for your tragic loss. I am not sure if you would remember me, but I spent many a weekend at your house when Jimmy and I were in middle school. You were all welcoming to me, and I remember the feeling of warmth and love in your home. He will be missed. Sincerely, Lori McCrevan

Sincere condolences on your loss. I knew Jim when he was at the JFK. He always made me chuckle, and his smile lit a room. I will always remember Jim.

I’m so very sorry for your loss. Mr. G, as Jim was known to my kids, was first introduced to my family through his work at Cole Harrington. He was a favorite after school teacher of my eldest son Aidan. When I was looking for a writing tutor for both of my boys, Jim changed roles with them and helped them both improve greatly! I believe he’s the reason that Aidan went on to win the Canton writes competition his first year. My youngest, Evan, looked forward to tutoring sessions with Mr. G and Jim could get him to do things academically that I never could. Jim kept in touch with my family through the years and eventually worked with Aidan to get a Saturday afternoon Magik The Gathering Club going at the library. Actually, I think he first taught Aidan the game during tutoring sessions, creating Aidan’s obsession with the game. I will forever be grateful for the ways in which Jim touched my boys’ lives. May he rest in peace and may these and your own memories sustain you as you process your family’s loss.

To Jim's family and friends, Jim was at the Hansen School many years ago when my children were students there. I was a substitute for about 10 years at the Hansen School. Jim was so welcoming when I first started and we remained friends while I was there. My children loved him! He was always upbeat, friendly, welcoming, and with a smile. I often would chat with him as he took a walk through my neighborhood. Learning that he had passed away was so upsetting to me. I am so incredibly sorry for your loss. Jim was a wonderful man and he will be incredibly missed by my family. Your family is now in our thoughts and prayers. Sincerely, Denise Thornton and Family
