She was a power to reckon with and a force for the things she believed and worked for, especially the Boston Harbor Islands! We've been friends with Nancy since the mid-1980s when she became involved with Friends of the Boston Harbor Islands. Over the years she was a dedicated staff person and long time volunteer who loved being on the islands and sharing the history of the islands with visitors. There were many "Friends" Beacon House gatherings over the years which Nancy made possible. We were fortunate to visit Nancy recently. She was quite a gal!
