Gramps change my life if it wasn't for him I'm not sure where would I be today. He has touched the hearts of so many people and because of that he's touched the hearts of all those people that we have touched since. His legacy will live on through so many. His love for Jesus shined through his life, his compassion just everything about him I'm so grateful that I will see him one day in heaven and I know when he walks through those Gates of Heaven God looked and said Well Done my good and faithful servant then all the Angels stood and applauded. You will be greatly missed Gramps.

Horace was a gentleman in every sense of the word, and a kind and compassionate neighbor. He will be sorely missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. My condolences to Nancy and all of Horace's loving family as they close this difficult chapter in their lives.

It is a great honor to have known Gramps Horace Mackness through our Faith Baptist Church Family. I have so much respect for him being the kindest, gentlest and such a persevering Choir Conductor and enthusiastic elderly figure that truly inspired and blessed me in a very special way. His legacy will live on through the lives that he touched. We will miss you Gramps! Until we meet again.

I knew Gramps in the 80's. His gentle spirit & passion for music was inspiring. Working with (Ray &) Gramps in Solar Energy, developed my alto voice, that I am proud of to this day. Retreats, Saturday yard clean ups, & a winter weekend in Maine, are happy memories that came flooding back, when I heard of his passing. He was a blessing. I'm thankful for all the smiles we shared.

I met Horace in 1982 when I was saved at Faith Baptist Church. He was a great encouragement to me and I loved singing in the choir under his leadership. One of the nicest, kindest and most personable Christian men I have ever met.
