I am so very sorry for your loss. Teachers aren’t really supposed to have favorites (shhh) but I was blessed to have Jack as my student for three consecutive years. Amidst the tears that have barely stopped, the one thing that has made me smile is remembering the stories Jack would tell in class that would get everyone laughing, including myself. Many were about various fishing adventures. He found a lot of joy in making his classmates and teachers laugh and smile. I witnessed the bonds he had with his close friends at school and admired how they all looked out for one another like family. Jack was a bright light in my teaching career and I hope he knew how much his teachers and classmates cared about him. I’m sending love and healing energy to everyone who is grieving the loss of one of my favorites .

I am deeply sorry for the loss of your beautiful boy. Each day Jack brought lightness and silliness into our G block English class. I am grateful that our paths crossed during his sophomore year. He was adored by so many people at CHS and has left an indelible mark on me. Rest easy, Jack.
