CONDOLENCES (GuestBook)

You were the new kid in school. The alphabet put us one behind the other in the classroom. We became friends. so much so that we had to talk to each other on the phone every day after school. We attended the same high school (MRM) which no longer exists. You took the college path and I took the business path. We sang in the glee club together. When you attended Forsyth University for dental hygiene, I was starting my very first full time job at The First National Bank of Boston, which also no longer exists. I even became your "guinea pig" to hone your dental hygienist skills. We saw Aerosmith before they became really big at the "Surf Nantasket" - again, no longer exists. I'm sensing a pattern here. We frequently closed down K-K-K-Katies in Kenmore Square. Not sure if that's still around either. We vacationed in New Hampshire, sometimes being pretty wild. We attended each other's weddings. When you were a licensed hygienist, you cleaned my kids' teeth. And when I moved to New Hampshire, we wrote letters to each other (no email back then). When I moved back to Massachusetts we even became roommates - you, me, Melissa and Pete. You started giving me a hard time because I was older than you for two months each year. Fast forward to 2021. You can no longer tease me about being older than you. This would have been a really good year for that with me turning 65. But you left too soon. My best friend is no longer here. I'm having a difficult time processing that. I could talk to you about anything, even on your worst days. We planned to get together when this stupid pandemic is over. I knew this time would come but I was not ready for it. It's just too soon! We didn't even get to be 65 together. But you are no longer in pain and that is the important thing. I will miss you more than you'll ever know!! So rest in peace, my dearest friend, and I will see you on the other side. I love you! Patti
