Dear Carolyn, Wade & Kirk, It is with my love and admiration for the way you cared for your husband. Knowing how much you all loved Dudley & in return, his love. Such a gentle, kind, sweet spirit. Always greeting me with such joy. You are so very fortunate to have wonderful memories with Dudley and so much love for so many years. And the legacy he and Carolyn created for Dudley's children and grands. You are a wonderful and memorable family who have many pleasant memories to share, make you smile & to rolls your eyes about. His charm, intelligence, strong character and integrity will continue to be remembered and shared. Dudley - truly a gem!! With my love and affection, Gail.

Our deepest sympathy on your loss. You don’t know us but we purchased a metal sculpture he fashioned from recycled automobile bumpers which hung over our fireplace for many years. He was a truly gifted artist.

Dear Carolyn, I have been sorting through some memorabilia left after my husband Arthur Wykes’ death (in 2001)—I am moving slowly as you can tell—and I looked you up on Safari and was sad to see that your beloved of 40 years died this year. Since Bernice Wykes had always been my link to the Wykes family and she died the month before Dudley (but had been suffering from cognitive decline for some time and in an assisted living facility in Victoria, BC, I didn’t learn of Dudley’s death. I send my sincere sympathy to you and the family. Mary Wykes
