CONDOLENCES (GuestBook)

I was very sad to learn of the death of Barbara Wymer. I knew Barbara for many years through our mutual membership in First Parish UU Canton. Barbara was intelligent, always cheerful, and devoted to her husband Bill. I especially remember her for her role in helping to put on the Haunted House that the church held for many years at Halloween -- Barbara managed the actors' makeup (and probably more). She was active in various committees and ever helpful and cheerful. In later years, she was the person tasked to send cards when people needed either congratulations for an accomplishment or comforting when they were ill or had a loss, and she never missed anyone. All of this while taking care of Bill, cheerfully and seemingly with endless energy. Barbara has not been active at First Parish for several years, and I have been missing her smiles and friendly comments. I am sad that she is gone and extend my condolences to her family.

Mrs. Wymer - you were a one of a kind lady!! Beautiful, generous, strong, fearless, giving and loving lady. I am so honored that I knew you in this lifetime. You were so good to me as a teenager hanging w your daughter Kimberly. You continued to be such an amazing woman to me in my adulthood and to my daughter even though I lived 1,000+ miles away from you. You were the most self-less person and you are already missed. I know you are once again with your true love at peace which gives me comfort. While there is no way Kimberly and Greg I can feel your pain, I do feel your loss as I've known your Mom for so many years. Peace and love to you both and to your family during this sorrowful time.

Dear Ones, Barbara was a beloved member of First Parish UU Canton during my tenure there. I remember her enthusiasm for replacing the sanctuary carpet, and I treasured her support - both financial and 'spiritual' - of the congregation. May her memory be a blessing to all of her family and friends.

I grew up at FPUU and Barbara was such a beloved member of the community. As the ‘official’ letter writer, I have a drawer full of cards with beautiful messages for everything from a tonsillectomy to college graduation. She will be sorely missed.

So sorry to hear of Barbara's passing. She was one swell lady. I was church secretary for 9 years and she was always there to help me. She and her grandson, Danny, used to stop by to pick up the list of names for her to send cards to church members for various reasons. Rest in peace, Barbara!

Over a fifty year relationship with my parents,- with our family,- Barbara was unflagging in her loyalty, kindness and strength. She was and remains a model of integrity, goodness, humility and class. She exemplified those qualities in the details of her life and in its totality. Her departure is a loss to us all. You have my sincere sympathy, Greg and Kimberly.
