Your son was an amazing young man and though his shell is gone his love remains to shine a light on a much needed conversation. I am so sorry for your loss. I work at UMass Boston, I didn't know Will but when I saw the notice, I wanted to come here and give my condolences. I may not have known Will, but one of my best friends knew him very well. I can’t imagine how hard this must be for all of his friends and family members. I would like to send my condolences to his family and I as a survivor, would like to stand by and support the suicide prevention foundation. You may not realize how loved you are, but you are not alone. As my friend said to me, there are so many people who would rather sit and talk to you and make sure you are safe and know that you will live another day. If you are ever thinking about ending your life please, think of everything that is worth it in this world. You can’t control the wave, but you can learn how to surf. My deepest sympathies and prayers for Will's family and friends. As we all grieve it is due to the joy Will brought to each of us. I still remember Will as a freshmen, exploring my Computer Science class, exhibiting an excitement and energy about learning. I was very fortunate that he chose my program and spent 4 years with me. I always looked forward to shopping at Shaw's just so I could catch up with his success. He will be missed greatly.

He had an innate way of lifting up others that I found so admirable. He was a true warrior in all the sense of the word.he was beloved not only by parents, siblings, cousins, Grandparents, but by everyone he came in contact with.
