I am saddened to hear about Charleen. I had the pleasure of getting to know Charleen at my hair salon in Bethel. I did her hair for many years. We had many long talks about our families, current affairs, and yes, sports! You see, I am a die hard Red Sox fan, and Charleen of course liked the Yankees! All in fun. I so admired her, and would always comment on what beautiful hair she had. She was a beautiful lady, inside and out. Every time she would come in, I had a chocolate chip cookie waiting for her, and she loved it! I would like to extent my deepest condolences to your family. She was a very special lady, and I take comfort in knowing that she once again is reunited with her Bill??

Dear Kristen, John and family, I was lucky to have met your parents back in the early 70s when I married a neighbor of yours down the street. I had heard many stories ( on the verge of legendary)l of both your mom and dad's involvement in neighborhood antics, school activities and community happenings. My mother-in-law Virginia was pretty close to your mom; they shared many cooking adventures together... with a good measure of humor and laughs. When Virginia moved into assisted living in Newtown, Charlene always stopped to visit her and share stories and laughs. She was supportive, both to Virginia, as well as to my husband Joey and me. Always beautiful, smiling and quick to share a hug. We feel blessed to have had both your parents in the patchwork of our lives. Our Deepest Condolences, Joe and Lynn Dudics

Dear Jon and Kristen, Please accept my sincere condolences for the loss of your dear mother. I knew your mom when we attended WestConn together a hundred years ago and have good memories of both your parents. They were dedicated members of our community and wonderful people. During these trying times, I’m sure it is especially challenging to process this loss and hope that reminders of the many, many ways your parents enriched the lives of others brings you some comfort. All my best to you both and to your families. Jim Davenport, Sr.
