My grandfather was one of the kindest souls on this planet. He was always so happy and his smile would brighten up a room. What a tough man he was too. So incredibly strong and a great influence. I always have and always will look up to him. Thank you for everything you taught me and everyone around you. I miss you and I love you with all of my heart.

Dad~ You loved to spend time with your family most of all. You nurtured a fun-loving sense of competition amongst us and always made us feel like we were the most imortant people in your world. I will miss playing cribbage with you and hearing your beautiful laugh. You had the most caring and generous spirit. I love you!

How do you say goodbye to someone who has been part of your life for so long? It's so difficult. You were Dad to me Nick. I love you and I am going to miss you. You were one of the toughest people I ever met, and also one of the kindest. I learned a lot from you and you will be with me always.

The past few days I’ve sat on what more I could say to Bobby and his family. I’m not sure I know what to say. I know I was blessed with a few friends that truly are brothers to me. Bobby is one! I got the privilege of inheriting another who was a great man, a tremendous friend, and even more... someone a few of us referred to as “Dad”.i got a chance to say goodbye as hard as it was to see a hero like that but forever grateful to hold his hand and tell him we loved him. We will find our way before he lays to rest and have another beer with him tomorrow. I’ll undoubtedly shed another tear but more for my happiness to have been touched by a kind wonderful soul and man. He gave many some fond memories and laughs. Showed us unwavering support and what it truly meant to enjoy life. You are a great man, a hero, a friend, and one hell of a Dad. I thank you sincerely for allowing me to be a part of your life. I thank you for memories I’ve always cherished. I thank you for you “Dad”. Rest easy, you did the world proud and left a legacy many could only dream of. Thank you and I love you “Dad”. My sincerest condolences to Bobby and all the Nicholson family.
