Dear Sandy and family, Joe was my teacher at Massasoit Community College (Blue Hills TI), and I learned a lot from him. He was such a patient and supportive man. Please know that you all are in my thoughts and prayers. Thank you for all the knowledge and talent you shared with many! Mr D, you will be missed, may you rest in eternal peace...

My godfather always made me feel like family. Certainly always had a great family story or 2 to share. I am forever thankful for his great company, his engaging conversation, and his love of our family's genealogy research and stories. We are grateful when we gathered for lunch in the summer of 2018 to reprise those happy gatherings from long ago. We love you and miss you

I just read the obit the Globe of one of my favorite teachers and just want to express my deepest sympathy. Mr. Desjardins was my Art teacher at "Blue Hills" back in 1967/68! Such a kind, gentle man with a great sense of humor! I have wonderful memories of him. Rest in peace Mr. D

Please accept my deepest sympathies on Joe's passing. As the former Assistant Dean of Students at the Canton Campus for several years (now retired), I always enjoyed talking with Joe. He was one of the nicest men I know. He truly loved teaching. Joe, you will be missed.

I'm a former student of Joe's. He was the most positive influence in my life and career. Without his teaching and support and encouragement, I would never have succeeded. Thank you, Mr. Desjardins. I have always thought of and appreciated how you put my life on a wonderful track. Thank you.

I loved my Uncle Joe. He was very special to me. He always had a smile and a joke. I admired his creativity and active nature- especially his love of running. I will always remember how he ran with his dog, Frisbee, and the biscuit trick he did. When my father, Norman Desjardins, passed, my Uncle Joe was very comforting. It meant a lot. I have no doubt that he has been reunited with his late parents, brother and dog. I am so glad we got to see him & family this past summer. My mother, Dolly Desjardins, shares our sympathy of her late brother-in-law. Our prayers are with my Aunt Sandy, Karen, Doug and family.

Uncle Joe, you will be missed so much!! I always enjoyed visiting with you, Sandy, Doug and Karen and have fond memories of our times together. Especially loved jogging with you and Frisbee in the Blue Hills. I know you and my Father are sharing some good laughs up in Heaven.
