God blessed us with you Dad. Perfect that God brought You home on PENTECOST Sunday! You epitomized the Love of the Holy Spirit. You were Fun. You brought us to various places. You were raised by wonderful parents who treated us, your step children, as though we were your blood. Barbara was amazingly blessed to have your loyalty as a husband. YOUR sense of family was very strong and faithful. You were humble, steadfast. You served as a Marketing Manager in Acton yet you were home for dinner every night! Thank you for blessing my life when my 1st father left. God gave us all a most wonderful GIFT. You gave me security. Safety. Joy. A wonderful baby brother. Thank you for my guitar lessons, horseback riding lessons, ice skates, my lefty softball glovee, the best motebecane 10 speed bike, teaching me to drive standard! I had woods and fields to play in. Pets! You built the best rabbit hutch!!! A neighborhood to be part of! Teaching me about working in team settings and serving. I easily served as a Secretary / Administrative Assistant because of you. I went to Northeastern University and studied Business with excellent, accomplished business leaders nights and weekends..BECAUSE OF YOU. I earned a Business Associate..BECAUSE OF YOU. Thank you for honoring Granny and Nana. Women who, along with Sittoo and Auntie Yvette, Aunt Connie too, taught me perseverance. Thank you for seeing me through the saddest loss: my marriage. I married on your Birthday, to a man who lacked your loyalty. "Oh well"..you would say when things unravelled. Dad, you are COUNTLESS WONDERS! The day of Nicole's Birth: you took your video camera and showed us your beautiful yard and garden, came all the way to Falmouth to hold your 3rd grandchild: Nicole Elizabeth..She was my unexpected Christmas gift in May..the month of our Mother Mary!! In my womb, my unborn child, brought me to Jesus and Mother Mary in your St. Joseph Quincy church. She bucked a bit through teenager land..as a single Mom..tough. Fortunately, Denise Reilly and I had the best horse riding instructor: Mr. Columbo. Thank you for those horse lessons! I learned from you how to stand alone too! Even when people speak wrongly of you. I would hear your words with a smile: "Oh well". I THANK you for trying to make our family rise above differences by making family gatherings important. Nicole and I will start new traditions in your spirit. There are COUNTLESS memories Dad. Conch shells, the LAND, the colorful "Scher" Chevrolet Vegas you journeyed 2 plus hours to work DAILY in, great vacations, day trips, painting our room purple, Uncle Cliff installing nice carpet, the fireplace mantel you made, Brigham's on Sunday's..handpacked ice cream! With hot fudge sauce! The blizzard of 78 you got stuck on 128 but made it home SAFELY, etc., etc.,! Cliffy's baptism on the side lawn, Midnight Mass with Joe Scaff..I later got to be with his wife in Hospice ..when I mentioned you, she squeezed my hand! Nicole remembers you cutting the lawn while she practiced handstands, the walks, the Costco food nimbling, the Halloween candy counting!!! Bird feeders! Endless good life you gave! TO all!! Great, delicious meals!! Mainly, you taught me how to live humbly, honorably, respectfully, kindly, take good care of things and those you love. I know my life was and is GOOD BECAUSE I HAD YOU FOR MY DAD! I WILL CONTINUE TO THANK GOD FOR YOUR ENDLESS, COUNTLESS GOODNESS IN MY LIFE! I shall joyfully herald you all the days of my life.Dad..in COUNTLESS ways! Thanking God you chose us! My heart is forever filled with love!! I know Heaven is joyful to have you home!!! All my love always DAD!!! Bella! Pam!

Edward Rahaim was a wonderful man. He was definitely a very caring dad to his kids, and a wonderful husband to his wife Barbara. He will be missed greatly by family and friends who found him genuinely interested in helping and listening to others. I/We all have wonderful memories of Ed as we grew up in a close knit environment on Barbara Road. The Fourth of July Block Parties on Barbara Road. Many Sunday’s watching and listening to Red Sox games, Bruins hockey , etc. in back/ side yards along the street with Ed Rahaim and many family / friends in a wonderful environment for many years! My condolences to the many wonderful family members who all had wonderful times on Barbara Road as kids with Ed Rahaim being a very caring and fun loving family man in one of the best family oriented neighborhoods! Over the years, after my family moved to Florida,I’ve stopped by the Rahaim home for visits to say hello and always was greeted with a warm welcome and friendly conversation. My family condolences to the family of Ed Rahaim , an absolutely wonderful man who will be missed by all. Sincerely, Gary , Debbie, and Danielle Thornton
