Mrs. Draper, Marianne, Alicia and Edward - please accept my sincerest sorrow for your loss. I remember "Big Ed" as if I saw him yesterday. To me, Mr. Draper was a larger than life man. I can still see him coming home wearing his weight belt. Physically Big Ed was always someone I respected and admired. I'm sure I was not his first choice as to who should date his daughter but regardless I was always treated respectfully and Big Ed had my respect (I am quite sure Mr. Draper could have twisted me into a pretzel as his physical power was obvious and greatly admired by me - a scrawny teenage boy). In life, it is often the little acts of kindness along the way that help mold us into what we become. Mr. Draper showed me kindness on numerable occasions even when I was not the "best me". Of all the people I knew growing up in Canton, the Draper family I remember best. Mr. and Mrs. Draper opened their home to me. The Draper home was a sanctuary for me, R/S Peter Sakalaukus Sr.
