Being unable to join you on Tuesday to celebrate Carl's life, I wish to offer my condolences for your loss. Carl and I did not share engineering positions at Polaroid. We were just friends who shared our thoughts about our work, lives and the world. I concur that Carl, 'filled with a quiet inner strength, perseverance, and patience, worked to the best of his abilities on every task.' We were fortunate to share a portion of the life of this exceptional man.
