I am in Florida for the winter but I met Mary playing bridge at the Canton Senior Center. What a special lady she was. We shared many stories and laughs together. I will truly miss her when I return - it will not be the same for me without her smiling face at the table- Sending prayers and my deepest sympathy to her family.

Dear Whelan family, we have known Mary for a few years and she was one of the nicest people we have ever known. We were lucky enough to play bridge with her and share a laugh. She always smiled and made the best of any situation also showing Norm how to rise up from a chair since her Jim had the same problem. To James and Brian, so sorry to see that your mother passed away as I was going through the Sunday paper... and noticed the name and the photo of Mary who I remember from my childhood sitting at Nana Whelan's table...as very lively and fun...and nice looking...have been saying little prayers for the family and will be thinking of you Love, Kathy (your first cousin, daughter of Edward Whelan who passed away in 1993)
