My heart breaks for the entire Gefteas family, for the recent loss of Mr. Bill Gefteas. He was a well known, loved, and respected man in our neighborhood. He was loved by all of us adults and all of our children. He was our Patriarch. He could talk to absolutely anyone, and make you feel like you were the only person he ever spoke to. He had such a charismatic personality, and you knew he was very intelligent just by having a small conversation with Bill. However, a good day is when you had a long conversation with him, which I was blessed to have with him many times. I can honestly say that I could have listened to him all day long. He was very bright and philosophical and just a joy to talk to, and to learn from. My conversations with him, were always incredibly interesting. He was always content, well mannered, funny, so smart, and just simply a gentleman. He would love to discuss tax law with me, and would always give his opinion on government and how many ways to improve it. I would tell him he should have been a politician. His love for this country was very evident, however, Bill’s Love for his family was indeed his greatest love of all. The pride and passion he had for his family was very obvious, and made me respect and love him even more. I knew not only was he kind, smart, and had great conversation, but I knew, he was first and foremost a great family man, who just adored his family. He was so proud of each and everyone of them. He always would express how proud he was of each of his grandchildren when they achieved certain milestones in their young successful lives, you couldn’t ask for nicer, sweeter people to be around, and Jean, his wife, just such a lovely sweet woman who always is so kind to all us here, and all of the children here, so giving, so sweet. His son Steve, daughter in law, Gail, all of the grandchildren constantly helping Bill and Jean, always visiting them, and just such a nice loving family. My heart breaks for each and every one of them. The Gefteas family has always made us feel so welcome, they always have been so helpful to us, so kind, we just feel so blessed to know and be around them, and so lucky to have known and be around Bill as long as we did. My deepest sympathies to Jean, Steve, Gail, and all of the grandchildren, and your extended family as well. Bill will be missed very much, and will always be remembered as our neighborhood Grandpa, the one we all listened to and respected, our forever Patriarch. We will always Love you Bill, may you rest in peace. Love, The Crawfords.

Dear Jean, I just came across Bill's obituary. It's been years since we've seen each other. However, he was in my thoughts evey now and then, and I intended to contact him to reminisce. As you know, we worked together for.many years, during good times and bad times. He was a wonderful man and a good friend. Like many others, I will miss him. God bless you and your wonderful family.
