CONDOLENCES (GuestBook)

12/9/2018 Tony Accardi
Somerville, MA,
To Dick's family, sorry to hear of Dick's passing. My Brother Bernie and I worked with Dick for many years at Deans and played hockey with him on Sunday mornings along with my other Brother Mel, who went to Memorial with him. Very sorry for your loss, my thoughts are with you at this difficult time. Tony Accardi

You patiently taught me how to hit a ball, climb a tree, determine when ice was thick enough to support skaters, deliver a solid uppercut, wrap a gift with precision, catch a fish (blech) and shoot a pistol. The hours you spent driving me here, there and everywhere allowed me to participate in all sorts of activities - some of which you didn't quite understand, but still you were there supporting me every awkward step along my away. You showed me that even those who don't have much can and should find ways to give to others - perhaps the most important bit of wisdom you ever imparted. A "man's man" is how others have described you and that's surely true, but you were also a gentle hand, a hero and a guiding light to a little girl who will always love, respect and miss her big strong daddy. You have always been - and will remain - alive and well in my heart. I love you beyond words, Daddy. xo Elizabeth
