I had the pleasure of knowing Phoebe and Phil over the years at St Philip's Church in Mattapoisett and sat by her side at a service there last month. Her gentle spirit and warm smile will be greatly missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with Phil and the family.

Greeting Phebe and Fr Phil after the hymn sing at St Philip's has been something I have looked forward to every summer on Labor Day weekend. She wore her associate's medal from the Sisters of St Margaret as a sign of the good health of her soul. Fr Phil and family now have an advocate in heaven. Keep strong in her faith and example.

This is just a small condolence message to you, Fr Phil, Chad, Gerry, and Rachel. As I have thought of her especially in the last few weeks, I have very warm memories full of laughter and fun. Because of her generosity, I was able to enjoy a most wonderful life. I have a beautiful family and am reminded daily of our friendship. I walk by your old house in Buzzards Bay on a regular basis. I pass by St Peter's just as frequently. Both bring forward wonderful feelings. Thank you, Phebe!!!!!!

To Phil and family. I've only just found out about your loss. I have such happy memories staying with you in Buzzard's Bay and Mattapoisett back in the summer of 1981. I remember attending Jerry's christening ceremony that summer and getting the news that a baby girl was born into the family. Thinking of you all. God bless!
