CONDOLENCES (GuestBook)

8/5/2017 James Connolly
Thornton , NH, h of the family
Eleanor was my favorite aunt. She started me off reading by giving me books each Christmas like The Bobsey Twins. She was a beautiful woman who stayed active as long as she could. Eleanor at 106 was just a long list of people that evidently inherited long life DNA from the Roberts branch of the family. My best to Judy and Avis and their families- I am not able to break travel plans scheduled for all of next week. My thoughts will about her on Tuesday. Love to all that will be present at services.

I remember Great Aunt Eleanor. What a fun and vivacious person. It was her time. Sending thoughts to the family. Debra Connolly

Aunt Eleanor was always so loving and glad to see us when we visited. My dad, Jim Higgins, loved his sisters and brothers. He said that Eleanor always looked out for him as he grew up. Eleanor made sure that her little brother, Jimmy, had his sports equipment ... baseball uniform, bat, and glove. He admired Eleanor's talent for ballroom dancing. He remained close to Eleanor even though our family moved to Modesto, California in 1963. Eleanor's love for ballroom dancing inspired my dad and mom, Harriet, to take up square dancing. They spent many happy hours square dancing with their friends in California. Judy & Avis - May loving memories ease your loss and bring you comfort. Love, Lynne
