To Sandra, Paula and Ryan ~ Pat and I were greatly saddened to learn of the passing of Joe and would like to extend our deepest personal sympathy. He was one of those extra special people who personify what is good in this world of ours. Joe will be remembered for his love of music and his role in bringing music to so many. All those he touched will miss him. Pat & Jack Coffey

My thoughts and Prayers go out to the Family of Joe. He was a great person and was like a father to all of us who where in the St. Josephs Band. I learns so much from him. He was always there for me when I struggled learning a new song. On several occasions he would stay late helping me out. He was a very special person in my life and I will miss him.

I knew Joe for many years when I was a music teacher in Salisbury. Joe was one of the kindest men I have ever met. He also gave me very good advice as I confronted some of the many difficulties that music teachers face these days. One of the greatest surprises and pleasures of my life was having Joe show up at my retirement party. He was very proud of his daughters and grandson and delighted in telling stories about them. He was a great father, grandfather, husband and friend.

Joe was one of the finest human beings I have ever met. His routine visits to my school were always a highlight in my day. And I remember the special love he and Marie shared, with her patiently waiting in the car as Joe made his call with me in the building. Then off they would go to the next stop. He was so proud of his family. We are all better off for knowing this kind, generous man.
