CONDOLENCES (GuestBook)

Gladys was a wonderful lady, a dedicated baby nurse throughout a lengthy career and a very enjoyable human being. To indicate that she left "no survivors" is a mis-print as she left behind so very many individuals like myself who admired and loved her. I had been asked to evaluate her for a pacemaker device that she really never needed yet we continued to see each other at periodic clinic visits mostly, I believe because we enjoyed each other's company. She regaled me with stories about "Buddy" and never complained despite having several potentially fatal diseases. She recalled with pleasure "vacations" spent on ?Nantucket with old friends. She lived alone and traveled at considerable inconvenience to clinic visits without complaint. I retain deep personal warm and heartfelt sentiments about Gladys; she was a wonderful human being who contributed much to the world through her nursing skills as a "baby nurse" but in addition through her bubbly personality left behind wonderful fond memories that I shall cherish for the rest of my life.

Gladys Ciprian was a professor at Boston University when I attended and graduated in 1974. She had written a pediatric textbook and she was a very outgoing faculty. I had seen her photo honored in the Massachusetts nurses Association monthly print out. I had planned to search her out but waited too long . She will be remembered by many students may she rest in peace .
