Gilberto (Papi) Rodriguez Sr. (59) of Brockton died July 10th in the Boston Medical Center. He was the loving husband of Migdalia (Torres) Rodriguez of Brockton.
He was born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico, son of the late Etanislao Rodriguez and Consuelo (Lugo) Rodriguez. Gilberto worked for the Registry of Motor Vehicles for many years. He was a communicant of St. Patrick’s Church and loved fishing, cooking, walking, going out to eat, was known as a jokester and loved spending time with family.
In addition to his wife of 40 years he is survived by 2 sons, George Rodriguez of Gardner and Gilberto Rodriguez Jr. of Brockton, 2 daughters, Gladys Rodriguez of Brockton and Carmen Torres of Florida, 3 brothers, Hector, Juan and Jorge and 4 sisters, Evelyn, Carmen, Mariam and Iris, 10 grandchildren.
Funeral Services in the Home of Funerarias Multi Culturel, 238 Court Street Brockton Tuesday July 21st at 10 am. Cremation to follow. Visitation in the Funeral Home Monday July 20th from 6-8 pm. Due to the COVID-19 Massachusetts Phase 3 Guidelines the Funeral Home will be open to 40 percent occupancy, face masks are required and please practice social distancing. We are all in this together.
