Obituary

Ramiro (Ray) Lopes 44 of Middletown, Rhode Island passed away on April 3, 2019.

Ray was born in Weymouth, Ma. He’s the son of Francisco Lopes of Cabo Verde and Louise Manseau of Plymouth, Ma. Ray was a U.S. Navy Veteran and a truck driver by trade. Ray had a passion for fishing, loved riding his motorcycle. Ray also enjoyed watching his two favorite sports football and soccer.

In addition to his parents he is survived by his son Tavaughn J. Lopes and grandson Mason of Middleboro. He leaves behind 3 brothers Rande Lopes of Foxboro, Manny Lopes of Brockton, Jason Lopes of Oklahoma and the late Jose Lopes of Brockton. Ray also leaves behind 3 sisters Marlisa Clapp of Maine, Ann Walsh of Marshfield and Gina Fernandez of Florida. His Aunt Catarina Lopes of Scituate, 2 Uncles Alfred and Delfino Lopes both of Scituate. Ray is the grandson of the late Christiano and Maria Lopes, nephew of the late Maria Vasquez, cousin of the late Freddy and Manny Lopes. Ray also leaves behind many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins, a long with dear friends, Lindsey Spurrier and Angelique Thomas.

Funeral services in the Home of Funerarias Multi Cultural 238 Court Street Brockton, Ma. Sunday April 14, 2019 at 7pm with Rev. “Flathead Tom” Iddings of the Brockton Chains Biker Church, Taunton officiating. Cremation to follow. Visiting hours start at 4pm prior to services.
