Frances Marie Shaw (89) of North Easton formerly of Bridgewater and Brockton passed away peacefully Sunday, March 3rd surrounded by family at the Good Samaritan Medical Center.
She was the widow of the late James F. Shaw. Frances was born in Corona, New York daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Cisco) Palandro. She spent the first part of her life in New York (Corona, then Massapequa) before meeting her husband Jim where they settled in Brockton to raise a family. Upon the passing of her husband in 1997, Frances settled in Bridgewater. Frances was a long time communicant of the former St. Margaret's Church in Brockton. Caring for her family and friends was her main passion throughout her life. She also loved to read, cook, entertain, and travel. Her selfless acts of kindness formed close bonds and friendships with countless people that lasted a lifetime. Frances was extremely close to her nieces and nephews and she was like a second mother to many of her sons’ friends.
Survivors include her 5 sons, James F. Jr. and wife Deborah Shaw of Braintree, Charles L. and wife Joy Shaw of Los Angeles, California, Michael G. Shaw of San Diego, California, Stephen P. Shaw and his partner Gary Lyon of North Easton and Daniel J. Shaw and his wife Sarah of Brockton, 6 grandchildren, Zachary, Hannah, Addison, Tatum, Ava and Sydney. Also sister of Michael Palandro and his wife Louise of Bridgewater, and the late Carmela Bloch, Rosario Palandro and Anthony Palandro.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Ann's Church, 103 North Main Street, West Bridgewater March 7th at 10:00 a.m. Private Burial in the VA National Cemetery, Bourne.
