Francis (Frank) K. Matthews (83) of Brockton died November 13th peacefully in his home under hospice care. He was the loving husband of the late Irene A. (Souza) Matthews.
He was born in Boston son of the late Alfred J. and Catherine (Kent) Matthews. Frank was a Korean War Veteran serving in the US Marines. He retired after 42 years as a newspaper mailer at the Boston Globe, member of Club National and Past Commander, Past Quarter Master of the VFW Post #1046, member of the Randolph Amvets Post #51 and loved to watch westerns.
Survivors include 2 daughters, Carol Webster of Brockton and Jodi Matthews of Bridgewater, 2 sons, Allen F. Matthews of Bridgewater and Peter Matthews of Halifax, 3 grand and 3 great grandchildren.
Funeral Services in the Home of Funerarias Multi Culturel 238 Court Street Brockton Monday November 19th at 11:30 am with Rev. "Flathead Tom" Iddings officiating. Burial and Military Honors to follow in the VA National Cemetery, Bourne at 2 pm. Visitation in the Funeral Home Sunday November 18th from 5-8 pm.
