William Elden Klassen, 78, Clarksville, died Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2011, at his residence. The funeral will be held at 12:00 Friday at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home with Brother John Maltais and Brother Tom Lynch officiating. Burial will be in Kentucky Veteran Cemetery-West. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM Thursday and from 10:00 AM until the hour of service Friday at the funeral home. Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He was born Feb. 14, 1932, the son of Adolph W. Klassen and Iva Ault Klassen. He was preceded in death by his parents and one step-son James Keith Green. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and retired from the U.S. Postal Service. He was a member of Sycamore Flat Church of Christ. He is survived by his wife Yvonne Green Klassen of Clarksville, one step-son John Walter Green of Birmingham, AL., one daughter Vicky Lynn (Don) Winck of Folley, AL., one step-daughter Anita (Tommy) Brewer of Clarksville, one brother Herbert C. (Velma) Klassen of Kendall, KS., one sister Eileen (Glenn) Bishop of Hemit, CA,. five grandchildren Justin Ellis, Blake Ellis, Chris Eastham, Jason Watkins and Crystal Gerwitz, four great grandchildren and Jordan his K-9 companion. Pallbeaers will be Tommy Brewer, Tom Murray, Keith Wilbourn and Loren Richards, Jeff Moore and Nick Meriwether.
