Obituary

Worcester – William J. Ambrose Jr., 71, of 100 Fairmont Ave. died on Friday Oct. 17 in St. Vincent Hospital.

He leaves his wife of 49 years Lorraine (Berthel) Ambrose; a son John S. Ambrose of Grafton; a daughter Laurie A. Duclos of Worcester; two brothers Richard Wesson Jr. of Rockland and Michael Ambrose of Plymouth; three sisters Deborah Hadlock of Douglas, Gladys Studeny of Mansfield and Dorma Gonser of Brookline; three grandchildren Sarah K. Ambrose, Andrew M. Ambrose and Normand F. Duclos all of Worcester. Mr. Ambrose is predeceased by a son William J. Ambrose III and a daughter Patricia Jean Ambrose. He was born in Quincy, MA son of William J. Ambrose and Gladys (Peaslee) Ambrose – Wesson.

Mr. Ambrose served in the United States Army. He worked for over 15 years at Gallo Motor Corporation as a mechanic.

He was a member of Park Congregational Church where he was a former Sunday School Teacher and leader of Cub Scout Pack #60.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday October 21 at 11 AM in Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park. Calling hours will be held on Monday Oct. 20 from 7 to 9 PM in the funeral home.
