Carol A. (Dufour) Ludvigsen of Dedham, formerly of Somerville, passed away on April 21, 2024 after a short illness. Beloved wife of Ronald P. Ludvigsen. Devoted mother of Ronald W. Ludvigsen and his wife Linda of South Yarmouth, Kim Pacheco and her husband Tim of Arlington, and the late Anita Clarke. Dear sister of Florence Domings, William Dufour, the late Anita Nardone, Lorraine Maunus, Theresa Bonner, Raymond Dufour, Claude Dufour, Lawrence Dufour, and Lionel Dufour. Loving grandmother of Christopher Clarke, Jessica Nash, Julia Smith, Jenna Ludvigsen, Maxwell, Bella, and Cameron Pacheco, and the late Eric Clarke. Great grandmother of Kathleen and Callie Smith. Also Survived by many nieces and nephews.
Carol grew up in Somerville, MA and spent many summers water skiing in Marlborough, MA on Fort Meadow Lake at their family summer home creating wonderful memories with friends and her large extended family. Carol and Ron were married for 61 years and raised 3 children together. They traveled to many places near and far including Hawaii, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, the Bahamas and most recently to Aruba. She enjoyed sitting by the pool and eating ice cream on the beach with her grandkids. She held several office positions in her career, but her passion was taking care of her family. She was truly a selfless wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend always caring for those around her before herself. She was the bestest mom and will be dearly missed.
Funeral from the William J. Gormley Funeral Home, 2055 Centre St., West Roxbury on Saturday, April 27th at 9:30am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Anne Church, 90 West Milton St., Readville at 10:30am.
