John Edward Jones
March 1, 1946- April 19, 2024
John Edward Jones, 78, of Anderson, went to be with the Lord on April 19, 2024. He was born March 1, 1946 in New Castle, to the late Ralph and Reba (Ford) Jones. He was a graduate of New Castle High School.
John was a beloved husband, daddy, pawpaw and great pawpaw. He was a United States Army Veteran and retired from General Motors and Sam’s Club. He enjoyed gardening, singing, studying his Bible, and spending time with his family.
John was a long time faithful member of the Church of Christ. His unwavering faith and trust in Jesus was the most important thing in his life. He always strived to live according to God’s word. John was a hardworking, honest man, who never rushed to judgment. He will be sorely missed.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife Patty Jo (Nale) Jones and infant daughter, Angela.
Left to cherish his memory are; daughters, Ella Christina (John) Hollingsworth of Anderson, Andrea Lynn (Stephen) Vaughn of South Shore, KY; son, John Benjamin Jones of Anderson; six grandchildren; Antonia Hollingsworth, Augusta Hollingsworth, Ethan (Marcy) Vaughn, Simon (Chloi) Vaughn, Addeline (Ethan) Winters, Isabelle Charles; one great grandson, Hank Vaughn; siblings, Steven, Sharon, Linda, Jennifer, Candy, Robin and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be on Thursday, April 25, 2024 at 11 AM at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service. Burial will follow at Mt. Summit Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening from 5-8 PM at the funeral home.
